Paul Ricoeur interrogare e interpretare la fede

Abstract

Il tema in Ricoeur presenta una ricchezza di indagine, ancorché complessa in quanto molti tra gli interpreti e studiosi del pensiero ricoeuriano concordano nel considerare il filosofo “un passaggio obbligato” per l’esegesi e la filosofia, una delle poche voci che si propone di conciliare le ermeneutiche rivali, attuando “tra il filosofico e il religioso né confusione, né separazione”. Si vuole qui esaminare inizialmente il legame di Ricoeur con la fenomenologia e con la fenomenologia della religione, per scavare poi il nodo dei rapporti complessi tra ermeneutica filosofica e ermeneutica teologica e, di conseguenza, la stretta e imprescindibile correlazione tra la fede biblica e il movimento dell’interpretazione che la porta al linguaggio. Il saggio in conclusione sottolinea come lo sforzo del filosofo non sia mai stato semplicemente esegetico, ma si sia dispiegato dalla antropologia alla teologia, dalla giurisprudenza alla storia, senza dimenticare l’approccio psicoanalitico.

Abstract

The relation between philosophy and theology in Ricoeur presents a wealth of research, albeit complex because many of the interpreters and scholars of Ricoeur’s thought agree that he is “a must” for exegesis and philosophy, one of the few voices that aims to reconcile the hermeneutical rivals, acting “neither confusion nor separation between the philosophical and the religious”. The article seeks to examine initially the link of Ricoeur with phenomenology and the phenomenology of religion, in order to then undo the knot of complex relationships between philosophical hermeneutics and theological hermeneutics and, as a consequence, the close and vital relationship between Biblical faith and the movement of interpretation that brings it to language. The essay points out in conclusion that the effort of the philosopher has never been merely exegetical, but has unfolded from anthropology to theology, and from law to history, without forgetting the psychoanalytic approach.
