ABSTRACT – The interpretation “according to the Spirit” of the Holy Scriptures and theteaching in the Theological Faculties. The author invites to pay attention to the theme ofthe interpretation of the Holy Scriptures according to the Spirit. In fact, after having referredto the tradition widely (Augustine, Jerome, Maximums the Confessor, Bonaventura)and to the teachings (above all to the Dei Verbum and to the following documents) heurges the teachers of the Exegesis in the academic ecclesiastical catholic institutions notto fail this aspect in their praiseworthy teaching activity. In the end there is an example ofinterpretation according to the Spirit by remarking about Psalm 14.
