The Palazzo della Ragione is the new home of Verona’s Galleria d’Arte Moderna. The guide assists visitors in their discovery of the building – the heart of the ancient medieval nucleus including such emblematic landmarks of the city centre as the Torre dei Lamberti, the Cappella dei Notai and the Scala della Ragione – as well as the collections now housed there. Together with those of the Fondazione Cariverona and the Fondazione Domus per l’arte moderna e contemporanea, the masterpieces of the city’s collection, built up on the basis of a major bequest from Achille Forti, cover a span of one hundred years (1840-1940) and offer an intriguing overview of the city, its history and its leading figures.
