ABSTRACT – The subsistit in and its interpretations. Ecumenical impulse of the Council

Vatican II. This article offers a synthesis of complex question of subsistit in of Lumen gentium

8b starting of genesis of the text. Then, it has presented different interpretations of

the expression used by Council and it has proposed a reading of the article of Lumen gentium

8b, starting from the principle of organic evolution of the dogma, underlying that

this important article is the doctrinal base of ecumenical impulse of the Council.
